Bulk Actions

When you’re organizing a large import or cleaning up your contact list, editing one person at a time gets old fast. Bulk actions let you act on many contacts in a single step.

Selecting contacts

On the People page, checkboxes appear next to each contact. Check the ones you want to act on, or select all, to build your selection before choosing an action.

Bulk delete

Delete every selected contact at once. Like a single-person delete, they go to trash rather than being removed immediately, so you have 30 days to restore them if needed. A confirmation modal shows how many contacts are about to be deleted before anything happens.

Bulk group assignment

Assign all selected contacts to one or more groups in a single action. Handy right after an import, when a batch of new contacts needs the same group memberships applied at once.

Bulk relationship assignment

Set your relationship to all selected contacts at once, for example marking a batch of new contacts as “Colleague” or “Friend” without opening each one individually.

When this helps most

Bulk actions shine after importing a large batch of contacts (from a vCard file or another app) or when you’re doing a periodic cleanup of your network: assigning stragglers to groups, tagging relationships, or clearing out contacts you no longer need.
